Most women hate the weights section of the gym. Its full of men – which can be intimidating, I know. And, weights give you big hulking muscles, right?
Wrong.
Lifting weights, even heavy weight, gets a bad wrap in the girl’s corner of the gym. But it shouldn’t because its based on a myth and the positive benefits that come from women building muscle is overlooked. The fact is that women cannot build muscle quickly enough and in sufficient size to look like a male body builder.
The fact is that women have a different genetic makeup to men. Not matter how much or how heavy you lift weights you will simply be unable to match the muscle size that a man can build.
However, you will become toned. You body will became more shaply. The more muscle you have the more carlories you will burn during the day while simply resting and doing nothing. The stronger your muscles the less prone to injuries you are and the more energy you will have.
The fact is it is a myth that women can build bulk muscles. Bu what about those female body builders that look like monsters? Trust me, they are not the result of lifting weigts. They are the result of lifting weights and steroids.
They’re from a different planet – a drug induced planet.
So, take the plunge. Venture over to that side of the gym and start pumping a little iron. The reality is you don’t have anything to lose because if you get to bulky (which you won’t) just stop.
